Pakistan ranks as sixth in global gender difference index  and being the most dangerous country for women with the increased number of cases of sexual crimes and domestic violence issues. Patriarchal attitude is mostly responsible for this. Unfortunately rape allegations are not taken seriously
ourcountry and sometime even we blame the victim for such acts to gain political motive. People think it as a money making concern. Technically raoe is the crime in Pakistan and the accused is sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment but ask any woman who is victim she will tell you that how much poorly she has been treated. The victim is already going through depression and post traumatic stress disorder that is already life threatening and if we also start blaming her it can cause someone’s life. We all should avoid interpersonal  victim blaming phenomenon which states that survivor feels comfortable and in control, must give victim some time to adjust in life, create reasonable resources, take care of emotional well being and stop certain thoughts to avoid traumatisation.

Some good practices are being followed in recent cases by not relieving the name of victim and keeping the name as secret. Cooperating with victim in a handsome way and creating a room for better investigation.

We need to innovate our technology to get rid of this menace and above all there is a need of legal jurisdiction to make such laws that such people can be penalized and faced with strict punishment.

We all need to educate our children, youth and especially girls to eject it off from the roots. We need to make law and regulatory system to trace the hierarchy that is being developed to cause such dilemma in our society. in
